How It Works

The slide dimmer changes the voltage of electrical
signal between 0 and 5 volts.

For The Curious

Have you heard of a potentiometer before? The slide
dimmer has a potentiometer in it, which allows its electrical
resistance to increase or decrease. As you move the slide
dimmer, you control its resistance. This allows for the energy
that is transferred to the circuit to be controlled.
